Notes on renting a car...
Recently we were looking at car hire prices and came to an astounding discovery. The rental price varied from day to day but when we asked for a quote to rent for several we were quoted the highest daily rate multiplied by the number of days. If, for example your are renting for thirty days but the period covers a major public holiday you could find the cost increasing by a factor of two or three just because you are covering a single expensive day. Shifting the rental period by two or three days could save you a fortune.
If you find yourself in this position, it could make sense to split the rental into two or more pieces so that you only pay the higher rate over the period that justifies it.

That sounds... Very sloppy. Is that the same with all rental companies?
