Davinci Space: Freedom and Privacy
I gave it a lot of thought over the weekend, and we spent a few hours with @Sara thinking about how we can express more clearly what Davinci Space is. I want Davinci Space to be the start of the journey to anyone, to all of us on the journey towards digital freedom. We are bringing together a research group, a set of courses on how to free yourself from the surveillance economy, and a toolbox that helps you to keep and achieve your digital sovereignty.
What we need to do is much more than install an app or two or change our browser. There is to "digital sovereignty" in isolation. Digital freedom is our freedom. Digital privacy is our privacy.
On this journey we need to cross through many lands: technology, politics, society, relationships. We need to think on a longer timescale than populist politicians who shout "but think of the children!" every time when they are taking away yet another of our rights. If we really want to think of our children then we need to build societies where they can be free.
This is going to be a long and treacherous journey. But it's going to be worth it. Join us on this grand tour.

These are highly significant reflections that venture beyond the mainstream. If we fail to ask these questions and seek answers to them, those who come after us will be able to conclude that their ancestors were incapable of learning from the mistakes of history.
Personally, I see this as a desperate struggle by an intelligent individual to maintain a balance between the development of technology and that of society.
If this imbalance continues to grow, a dystopia awaits our children.
